CORDIAL CHERRIES "These are the best cordial cherries I've ever tasted." We hear that often at Burst's. The reason is because we use Black Port Cherries. Maraschino cherries are typically the base ingredient for cordial cherries, but we find them bland and too sweet. We instead soak black cherries in Black Port, producing a marinated cherry with more complex flavor that pairs better with chocolate. Let the kids have Maraschino cherries. These are for adults.
Traditional cordial cherries A tradition in Oregon's Willamette Valley, at Christmas we ship these to Portland and beyond. Generously enrobed in chocolate after a long soak in Black Port, they're sure to become a tradition of yours, too!
Brandy cordial cherries To produce these, Black Port Cherries are soaked an additional four months in high-quality brandy. A step beyond cordial cherries and time-consuming to produce, with a small alcoholic kick.
Amaretto cordial cherries Our third variation on the cordial cherry theme. Here we balance the flavors of black cherry, black port and almond. Like our other two varieties, enrobed in rich chocolate.
