East Thornton Lake "Turtle" Fundrasier

50% of the purchase price for this box of Burst’s of chocolate “Painted Turtles” or “Pond Turtles” will be donated to the East Thornton Lake Natural Area in Albany, Oregon.
Your donation will help protect, restore and transform Albany’s most significant natural area into a beneficial site for learning and enjoyment.
East Thornton Lake provides habitats for plants and animals that are disappearing throughout Oregon’s Willamette Valley. It is called home by eagles, herons, otters, beavers, migrating songbirds and the native Western Pond and Painted turtles, which are listed as “critical” on the state’s sensitive species list.
The East Thornton Lake Natural Area will also be the site of the Kalapuya Interpretive Center, which will host school groups, researchers, cultural workshops, and historical displays. It will provide a special place to learn about the history of the area and its native peoples, the Kalapuya Indians.
